Every One’s a Winner

Thursday 24 April 2008

A final (for now) post about the party.

The Whingers just want to confer their congratulations on the various winners at the West End Whingers party: We had nine high-quality Grand Raffle prizes to give away PLUS a prize for the best hat.

Big thanks to Adèle Anderson for presenting the raffle prizes. The Whingers dropped into the RVT the other week to see her wonderful cabaret show – My Life In Song. Marvellous fun.

If you missed it, tough. Just make sure you don’t miss her in the 25th anniversary show of Fascinating Aida at the Jermyn Street Theatre in the last two weeks of May.

Anyway, here are the winners:

Also, before we have a little break from the theatre….

… we met up with Steve On Broadway last night to console him for his misfortune in having seen Gone With The Wind in the afternoon. He was a good sport and we love him to bits.

  1. Whingers, It was a sincere pleasure finally meeting you. I’ll have to time my trip next year a bit better to make it to your party, and I promise to keep up with you.

  2. No doubt the Aidas will also be doing their bit at a memorial concert for my friend Russell Churney on June 29th. Given that Russell’s highest-profile gigs were with them and Julian Clary (you may remember “the lovely Russell, the only known heterosexual in the world of showbusiness”), it’s unlikely to be a sombre occasion.
