It’s Christmas time, apparently. Indeed, according to Andrew’s local Sainsbury’s it has been since 1st September.
Most of it passes the Whingers by, of course. For them Christmas means neither carol concerts nor recitations of The Night Before Christmas and obviously not the giving of presents or feelings of goodwill to all men willy nilly.
What it does mean is that it’s time to sit down and listen to the brilliant David Sedaris reading Front Row Center with Thaddeus Bristol (about 8 minutes long) in which a theatre critic appraises the shortcomings of a couple of school nativity plays.
If you enjoy it there is more Sedaris Christmas cheer (including the Thaddeus Bristol story) to be found in his Santaland Diaries.
Merry Christmas everyone.
